Jorge did a great job with our wedding photos. He was patient and kind in moments of stress. Funny and easy going in capturing our special moments. I appreciated his flexibility in rescheduling our post wedding shoot, as my husband became ill. He was very respectful to all of our guests, even when they insisted in cutting him off to take their own photos. I really loved his photojournalism style in capturing us and our guests in the moment. He has a great understanding of the area for those special and unique backdrops that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. He was also very open to suggestions on poses and the vision of our photo shoots.

I planned our wedding from Washington State and found Jorge online. After the first communication with him I knew he was the best photographer for our wedding. He was always very attentive and quick to respond to any questions I had from the start and to the time we arrived in Puerto Vallarta. I found Jorge via Instagram before our trip to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. As a professional photographer myself, I knew what to look for during my search for the right photographer and I scoured the internet for hours. His work online was consistent, remarkable, and thorough. He was the best one I could find in the area and I am sure, now, he is one of the best in all of Mexico. We could not be more happy with our photographer, Jorge Mercado. He was extremely professional, creative and gave us the most beautiful photographs. We booked Jorge for our wedding, which was two women, one black and one white, with very different skin tones. We were concerned how our photos would turn out as not every knows how to capture a photo so we all show up beautiful and looking ourselves. Needless to say the photos turned out fabulous. I wanted to book a family photo seasion for our family while we were in Puerto Vallarta. It was a gift for my in laws, this trip was to celebrate their 40th anniversary. I just google photographers in the area. Jorge was one of the first to reply, he was very helpful in answering all my questions. I can not possibly say enough kind words about Jorge Mercado and his work. I’ve seen beautiful photography in my life but Jorge’s talent and creativity in capturing candid moments as well as staging portraits is just on another level!

I will admit that I was very nervous hiring someone I couldn’t really meet until I arrived in Puerto Vallarta but his work came highly recommended and his portfolio speaks for itself. I thought, surely he must just post his best work but when I got our photos back I was just blown away. I mean, holy crap! If you are looking for someone with an artistic eye for a candid, journalistic approach this is your man! His portraits, both day of as well as our second session are simply incredible! So many favorite photos that it was challenging to pair them down for an album.

Jorge and his team are fun, talented people and if I could redo my entire wedding from scratch I would move my date just to make sure he was available…seriously! If you’re not sure about being able to budget photography and videography, then eat off paper plates! You honestly can not miss having Jorge capture your memories… this man’s work exceeds all expectations!
